FWB $10M Fundraising. The FWB round is official. The DAO raised $10M at a $100M valuation from a16z and Pace Capital, among others. FWB plans to use the money to push forward City DAOs, build out their full-time team across a variety of verticals, and continue being one of the dopest communities online and off. DAOs: Absorbing the Internet. DAOs are eating the world, but not everyone knows it yet. Mario Gabriele assembled a powerhouse team, including Forefront core contributor Jihad Esmail, to write a comprehensive report on DAOs: what they are, where they came from, why they’re important, and so much more. This will go down as a must-read for anyone joining the space for the foreseeable future. MULTIPLAYER ALPHA

A Legal Framework for DAOs. The a16z legal team released this fantastic report on many of the legal and regulatory issues facing DAOs: liability, tax, contracting, and more. The report pulls from many key legal minds in the space and offers some interesting models for DAOs to consider as they interact with IRL entities. MUST READ

RabbitHoleDAO: Why Decentralization Matters. As Rabbithole decentralizes, there is much to learn. Zach Davidson explores why decentralization matters in regards to DAO onboarding. He dives into five archetypes of Rabbithole Pathfinders, why each is important, and what the role of the onboarding process is in building a strong DAO culture. PROMISING

Sc3nius by Packy McComick. "Scenius is like genius, only embedded in a scene rather than in genes." In this essay, Packy builds on this idea of Scenius to explain why web3 is a next-generation scenius, how it is playing out for participants of the scene, and what might be next. The framing of our current time and digital space is definitely interesting, and worth exploring on an individual level as well. GREAT DIVE

Facebook Changes Its Company Name to Meta. You’ve definitely seen this already, but we’re adding it anyway ;) Facebook’s name change to Meta definitely received some mixed responses (and funny memes). However, it is undoubtedly a sign that the metaverse is going to be a high priority for institutional builders and investors one way or the other. The web3 community is taking note. LOL

Adobe partners w/ NFT Marketplaces. Adobe partnered with OpenSea and other NFT marketplaces to create an image as an NFT, which would embed attribution information. Adobe will use an open-source method of cryptographically signing the image with the creator's identity. Awesome to see traditional creative software embracing NFTs. ADOPTION CURVE

Punk 9998 bought for 124,457 ETH. Punk 9998 was sold for 124,457 ETH, or over $532 million at time of sale. Before we went too crazy, Larva Labs confirmed that both the purchase and the sale were conducted by the same person using a Flash Loan. A bit of financial engineering, but the numbers were eye-popping. FLASH FLEX

We’re excited to introduce a social token bridge to programmatically migrate community tokens across Ethereum & Polygon -- creators who minted or imported their token on the Coinvise Dashboard can now migrate a set amount of ERC20 tokens from Ethereum to Polygon.
